The Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition consists of parents, grandparents, and caregivers who care for young children under 12 years of age in Clare and Gladwin Counties. The purpose of the Coalition is to increase parent participation in early childhood planning and decision-making for the counties.

THE COALITION WILL:

• Serve as a "voice" for parents in their community

• Assist in building public support for early childhood as an investment

• Support and participate in the assessment and strategic planning work of the Great Start Collaborative

• Strengthen the commitment of parents in the community, on behalf of young children

Why should I consider joining the Clare-Gladwin Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition?

This is an opportunity to get involved with a parent group dedicated to helping children succeed in school and in life. Anyone who lives in Clare or Gladwin Counties and is caring for children (ages 12 and under) is welcome to be a part of the Parent Coalition. Its purpose is to increase parent participation in Early Childhood planning and decision-making for the Counties.
